Dr. Crowley is an Associate Professor at Yale School of Nursing in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Specialty Masters Program. She also practices as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Yale New Haven Hospital, Pediatric Primary Care Center. In her capacity as a consultant, Dr. Crowley is a member of the Leadership Team of Healthy Child Care Connecticut, a federally funded project through the US Department of Health and Human Services and linked to the Healthy Child Care America Campaign. Her research, publications, community activities, and professional involvement for more than 15 years has focused on improving health and developmental outcomes for children and their families in out-of-home settings. She co-founded the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners' Child Care Special Interest Group, and she served on the American Academy of Pediatrics' Committee on Early Childhood, Adoption, and Dependent Care. Currently she is serving as Chair of the Technical Panel: Health Concerns Related to Social Environment and Child Development for the Maternal Child Health Bureau publication Stepping Stones to Using Caring for Our Children: National Health and Safety Performance Standards: Guidelines for Out-of-Home Child Care Programs.
