Nancy Redeker elected as President-Elect of ENRS

Associate Dean Nancy Redeker was recently elected as President-Elect of the Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS). Her term will run from 2008 - 2010.

The Eastern Nursing Research Society (ENRS) was established in 1988 as a forum for nurse researchers to promote and support regional nursing research in the Northeastern United States. Its goals include:

- Providing a forum for dissemination and critique of nursing research

- Stimulating interest in the scientific study of nursing phenomena

- Linking nurses with similar research interests

- Promoting recognition of nursing as a scientific discipline

- Promoting evidence-based nursing practice

- Fostering ethical standards in research.
